I was inspired by researching teacher website to create a space that was child friendly in my home. My grandson loves books and with the many resources, materials and manipulative I have, I decided to make it available for him. My husband was puzzled to have my den look like a playroom and all I can say is "when the kids come over, there will be a place for our grandson!"
I will post a picture soon.

Everything Preschool
Everything Preschool is one of my favorite websites. It is filled with themes that are included activities for every subject from math, science, literacy and physical games and manipulative. I think you will place this website in your favorites because you will be going back to it as a resource.

Kindergarten/primary school age
I think I'm addicted! Check out www.teachingheart.net! A very useful website that is geared towards primary school age but I think you can make modifications of the ideas to fit your age group. This site gives you themed ideas and extensions so that you give your children the most of your lesson. One example they have especially if you are doing Character Education is on "Fill A Bucket", a very good start to character building! The site also offers packets and CDRoms for purchase should you choose to. ~~Enjoy!
Think School Age
Here is another good find www.primaryteachers.org. Although I think it is set up for parents, you can go through the individual grade level and view what the class is up to. Also, the teachers give websites on programs that children can play/work on at home on the computer. Seeing that this is the technical age and computers are used more in the classrooms, I see this to be useful. The website is organized to where it is inviting and makes you want to explore more. Have fun and let me know what you think! Happy Surfing!
For Infants and Toddlers
Looking for ideas for infants and toddlers? Here's a website full of ideas for all age groups! Hubbards cupboard at http://www.hubbardscupboard.org/infants___toddlers.html has some wonderful ideas. This site is easy to use and eye catching. The category list allows you to click on the age group and ideas you are working with. I use this site often!
